Solar Powered Hydration Furthers Sustainability Goals
In 2023 we were awarded the title of ‘Sustainable Beverage Manufacturer of the Year’, but we don’t stop at awards. In line with our mission to continually improve our sustainability practices, we are excited to have completed the installation of a cutting-edge 200kW commercial solar system. This epic system means that we can utilize clean energy to power our already certified carbon-neutral business.
Solar power significantly reduces emissions by generating electricity without burning fossil fuels, leading to decreased greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution. This renewable source contributes to a cleaner environment, mitigating climate change and promoting sustainable energy solutions for a brighter future.
Solar energy has obvious benefits, but a system of this size has unprecedented benefits for the environment. To try and demonstrate what this might look like we have created some examples of how this creates a positive impact:
Tree Equivalent: This installation is equivalent to planting an impressive 6623 trees annually, contributing significantly to carbon offset initiatives. These numbers aside, we also have our own rainforest regeneration program in place, as we don’t want to be all talk and we still want to see actual trees planted. So we are doing both. You can read more about this here.
Petrol Avoidance: A system like this is the equivalent of avoiding a staggering 110,017 liters of petrol per year, reducing our carbon footprint and reliance on non-renewable resources even further.
Coal Burning Avoidance: A system of this size also prevents the burning of approximately 125,034kg of coal annually, further championing the cause of cleaner, greener energy solutions.
We were very lucky to have worked with Quantum Solar on this new initiative and are extremely grateful for their professionalism and excellence during the installation.
Pictured are some of the before and after shots. We are very proud of this powerful initiative.
