Supplier Diversity Partnership of the Year

Yaru is beyond proud to have been announced as the winner of the Supply Nation ‘Supplier Diversity Partnership of the Year’ award, for our partnership with Qantas.

It means a great deal to us to be recognised in the ‘partnership’ category, as this is how Yaru was born; a partnership between an Indigenous and non-Indigenous family, that told a genuine story of togetherness.

Our partnership with Qantas is more than transactional – it’s about ethical procurement and a commitment to sustainability and community. Partnerships like this one with Qantas, change the entire landscape for Indigenous businesses like ours. It creates a sustainable future in a market that is often dominated by global giants.

It’s not an easy market, but we’ve put sustainability and community at the heart of our business, which has enabled us to attract partnerships like this one with Qantas. We are certified carbon neutral, we blow our own bottles on site, every component is made in Australia, our mineral water is sourced and bottled from a pristine aquifer on the family farm, and most importantly we are a social enterprise that implements and supports projects that help to create better health outcomes in Indigenous communities throughout Australia. The Qantas values align so closely with ours and it’s made the partnership a joy to work on from all sides.
