Yaru’s Young Indigenous Mentoring Event Set For 2019
In 2019 Yaru Water in partnership with its sister brand Mount Warning Spring Water, will launch the first of many mentoring events open to young Indigenous people in the Tweed Shire and Northern Rivers region (the home place and source of the water).
The free event will enable young Indigenous people between the ages of 16 and 21 to see what it’s like to work in different areas of a business. They will be able to access career tips, resources, and inspiration from experienced mentors, entrepreneurs, Indigenous leaders, and industry professionals both internal and external to the business.
The event will include a range of hands on workshops and presentations where young people will get to experience:
- Production and manufacturing
- Business with purpose and entrepreneurial skills
- Business operations/admin
- Marketing and social media.
If you live in the region and are a young Indigenous person between the age of 16 and 21, please register your interest by emailing info@yaruwater.com Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
